So now that the art show is done, it's back to drawing:
I've been working on my mech designs, and I've been having a hard time of it. It's tough to come up with fresh, interesting, and functional-looking body forms. Until something occurred to me: why not make the problem smaller and more manageable? So I decided to do just hands. Hands obviously have a lot less moving parts than an entire body, but are still expressive and recognizable. I was pleased with my solution, so I whipped up a bunch of these over a day's commutes on my Galaxy Note 8:
